Pilates is a method of body conditioning which combines stretching and strengthening with control. The focus is on core strength and alignment - maintaining both core connection and correct alignment through movement. There is also a strong emphasis on breath and its combination with each movement.

Mat Pilates classes are perfect for those whose goal is to improve core body strength & flexibility OR those who just need some time out to focus on themselves. Our mat classes provide a full body workout utilising your own body weight and control for positioning and strength. Other equipment will be included when available and appropriate such as the foam roller, thera-band, magic circles to further challenge and extend you during the class.
Classes are open to both men & women and run for 55mins. If you are pregnant and would like to come to a mat class, please get in touch, so we can talk and discuss which class would suit you best.

Our body HIIT (high intensity interval training) class has been designed to deliver a high intensive cardio blast, including body weight resistance training, improving cardio-respiratory fitness and muscle conditioning in one class. Prepare to work hard and finish smiling. Class is short and sharp - approx 30mins max
Because being pregnant is a pretty special period in your life, we think you deserve some special attention. Our "Mama to be" mat Pilates classes are designed to be completely suited to an expectant mama, taking into consideration the unique physical needs a women has during this period of time. Pilates is a fantastic form of exercise during pregnancy & the postnatal period. It is gentle and easily adapted to suit the changing needs a mama may experience through her pregnancy and after her baby is born. Every mama is different, and exercises and movements will be modified accordingly.
Pilates will help you build core strength, ensuring the deep abdominals, pelvic floor, buttocks and back are able to support the physical changes that come with pregnancy and child-birth.

Our Mama & Bubs postnatal mat Pilates class is designed to be safe for new mamas from 6wks postnatal OR when you have clearance from your LMC to return to exercise post-birth. Pilates will greatly assist with helping your body recover postnatally - encouraging correct postural alignment, restoring pelvic floor function and improving abdominal muscle tone. Not to mention that you will feel amazing after a class! You are welcome to bring your baby to this one. It will be a relaxed environment where you are welcome to attend to your babies needs as they arise.

My first few months with a new baby was so challenging - my body was tender, my back killing me and I was perpetually exhausted from sleep deprivation. Thankfully I heard that pure mama pilates was starting a ‘bring your baby’ course. Over the seven weeks I experienced a lot of healing. With Vania’s gentle guidance and focus on technique my abdominal area strengthened and the soft gap between my abs healed significantly, but I also healed in other ways. I got to know other great mums and we shared our stories and supported each other.
The best thing about pure mama pilates is the small class sizes. Vania not only gives clear guidance and support, but also settles fussy bubs allowing me to focus on myself. Its something I look forward to every week. Vania also encouraged us to self-care throughout the rest of our week, and this has helped me create new routines to recharge myself. I highly recommend pure mama pilates to anyone who is looking to focus on their health and wellbeing.
I was lucky enough to attend one of Vania’s mumma and bubba class 7 weeks after my son was born. Not only was it an outing to keep my sanity but she was so supportive in helping my body recover post baby. Any niggling places were looked at and stretches were provided to help these. As I needed a C-section She took great care in making sure I wasn’t putting too much pressure on my abdomen area by altering the move to make it easier for me but at the same time encourage me to engage muscles to aid in healing and strengthen my core. These classes were also supportive in the fact that it was a group of mums that were able to give support and encouragement to each other. I would highly recommend this morning to anyone looking to strengthen their mind and bodies after babies birth.
This is my second time doing Vania’s Postnatal Mums and Bubs class. There is something special about Vania and the classes have been essential for me to regain strength post birth. Not only is Vania an amazing Pilates instructor, she is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to babies as well and I can’t thank her enough!
