Important update December 2023 ~
One of the things I am most proud of as the founder of Studio Thirty Five, is that my small business has developed organically. As an ex-physio, mother of four, I had no background in business. I simply led from the heart, following where I believed God was leading me and responded to the people in front of me. From the very first postnatal class I ran in Nov 2015 through to where Studio 35 stands today. I look back over those 8 years and see so much growth and expansion.
If there is something I’ve learnt, it’s that following my intuition and gut is a strength. To do that takes courage. Change is a part of life. When we embrace it and move with it, we allow ourselves space to grow and experience new beginnings. 2024 signals a new beginning and a change of focus for me and Studio 35.
And so with anticipation and a big breath I share…
At the end of classes in 2023 I am handing the leadership and ownership of the Pilates side of Studio 35 to the very able hands of Alicia Mitchell. Alicia has been an integral part of the Studio 35 team since 2018. She is more than equipped to do an amazing job going forward. As I let go and hand the Pilates Studio on, I will be making room for what God has next for me, and to step more fully into developing my Health and Wellness Coaching work, which I love.
In many ways, nothing much will change. You will still get to enjoy the same classes you know and love. You will still enjoy Alicias expertise and care. You will still be challenged, stretched & strengthened. The main differences will be a new gorgeous location - just a stones throw from where we currently gather - and a new name - both of which will come when Alicia is ready to share. If you are a current or existing client, all of these details will be coming to you in due course.
I couldn’t be more at peace with this decision and its timing. I’m confident that Alicia is the right person to look after you all AND to further flourish and grow this business I started. Transition can feel uncomfortable, but we will do our best to keep you in the loop and answer any questions you might have.
With much love,
Vania x

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING…
Pilates FAQs
How many people come to your classes? Classes have a maximum of 8 people. Keeping our classes small allows us to better connect with you and to give you the attention you deserve. Postnatal mamas and bubs classes are even smaller - with only 5 to a class. And of course we encourage you to bring your baby with you to this one.
How long does a class run for? All classes run for 55 mins. We encourage you to arrive 5 mins early to get yourself settled in. If you are coming to a postnatal class, the studio will be open to you for 15mins prior to come and get settled with your baby. We always endeavor to start classes on time. However, particularly with the postnatal classes, we are sensitive to the needs of new mamas and their babies.
What about lockdown? We are still here for you! Classes are being run virtually while we can’t be together in person.
Do I need to bring anything with me to class? It's essential you bring your own socks to wear on the mats for hygiene reasons. Aside from that, make sure you are wearing comfy clothes you can easily move in. In winter it might be wise to layer up, though we do have heaters for your comfort. Feel free to bring your sense of humour too. We love a good laugh in class!
Can i buy a concession? You sure can! In fact that's how we work! We offer 5, 10 + 20 class concession packages at Studio Thirty Five. You pick the class and time that works for you and book in your spot in We can help you navigate the booking process. Generally we encourage clients to come to the same class each week, but if you know ahead of time you will be away, we can often find an alternative class for you as a one off.
What if i only want to come to a class here and there? You can totally do that too. Just use our online booking system to join in wherever spaces are available. We encourage you to come regularly though, as you will see the best benefits of Pilates classes by committing to regular practice.
Do you have a cancellation policy? Glad you asked! Yes, we do. Class cancellations are the responsibility of the person booking the class. They can be made vie the Acuity Scheduling App online. Cancellations can be made 12+ prior to class start time without losing that session. Cancellations made 12hours or less prior to class start time will forfeit that session. No-shows and absences will forfeit that session. We do not accept cancellations via social media.
What if my regular class is not happening for some reason? Feel free to book in an appointment on another day that suits you.
How do i make payment? All payment for classes is made via our app Acuity Scheduling at the time of booking your appointment. You just need a valid credit or debit card. Easy peasy.
How do I get there? Check out the map for our location. Once you are on Pioneer Road, and find number 35 on the right, drive past the main entrance approximately 50m to a second gravel driveway entrance. Drive on up and into the parking area.
